30W AURORA LED floodlight with Lumileds SMD2835 chip and 140 lm/W efficiency, designed for powerful, efficient lighting. It features a removable PIR motion sensor connected via a Jack connector, allowing you to enable or disable detection based on your needs. A remote control is included for convenient everyday use, with automatic switching when motion is detected—ideal for improving security and saving energy. Built for reliable performance, it is water-resistant for both outdoor and indoor applications where you need dependable light.

Design and Durability

This floodlight combines aluminum and glass housing to ensure robustness and longevity. Its IK07 impact resistance rating protects against mechanical shocks, while the IP65 rating guarantees suitability for exterior environments by preventing dust ingress and water jets from damaging the unit.

Lighting Performance

Equipped with Lumileds SMD2835 LEDs and a 4000K color temperature, this floodlight provides bright white light with a color rendering index greater than 80 for good color fidelity. Its 120° beam angle delivers wide and uniform illumination, making it suitable for various outdoor applications requiring consistent coverage.

Smart Motion Detection

The PIR sensor is removable and connected via a jack, allowing users to activate or deactivate motion detection as needed. With a swift startup time of 0.2 seconds and endurance of up to 100,000 switching cycles, the sensor ensures responsive and reliable automatic lighting triggered by movement. A remote control included facilitates convenient daily operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the PIR sensor be used independently from the floodlight?

The PIR sensor is integrated via a jack connector and intended to control the floodlight's automatic switching. While removable, it functions in conjunction with the floodlight and is not a standalone device.

Is the floodlight suitable for extreme weather conditions?

The floodlight operates safely within temperatures from -20°C to 55°C and is rated IP65 for protection against dust and water jets, making it appropriate for most outdoor weather conditions.

What is the expected power factor and how does it affect usage?

The floodlight has a power factor of 0.95, indicating efficient use of electrical power during operation, which is beneficial for minimizing energy loss but does not signify energy savings by itself.

Outdoor and garden LED lighting for safe and welcoming spaces

Outdoor and garden LED lighting makes terraces, patios, façades, pathways and green areas more usable after dark. A well-planned installation improves visibility and safety, simplifies access to the property and creates decorative environments around gardens, pools and relaxation areas.

At DomiLED you will find outdoor LED lighting solutions for homes, residential communities, hotels, restaurants, shops and professional projects. The correct choice depends on the installation area, surface to be illuminated, required effect and exposure to water, dust and weather conditions.

Types of outdoor LED lighting

  • Outdoor LED wall lights: provide functional or decorative illumination for façades, entrances, porches, terraces and balconies.
  • LED floodlights: deliver a high luminous output for patios, car parks, gardens, façades and working areas.
  • LED bollards and path lights: define pathways, entrances and landscaped areas with light positioned close to the ground.
  • Garden spotlights: highlight trees, plants, walls, sculptures and architectural features.
  • Residential lamp posts: illuminate pathways, gardens, entrances and communal areas from a greater height.
  • Solar LED lighting: provides autonomous light points in locations with suitable exposure to sunlight.
  • LED strips and flexible neon: create decorative lines on terraces, steps, pergolas, façades and outdoor furniture.

How to plan garden lighting

Combine several lighting levels to achieve a balanced result. General illumination supports safe movement, orientation lighting identifies paths and changes in level, and accent lighting highlights trees, plants, walls and decorative features.

It is not always necessary to illuminate the entire garden at the same intensity. Distributing several light points creates depth, avoids excessively bright areas and directs attention towards the most attractive parts of the space.

IP protection for outdoor luminaires

The IP protection rating indicates a luminaire’s resistance to the entry of dust and water. The required rating depends on its location and direct exposure to rain, water jets or moisture.

A luminaire installed under a protected porch does not experience the same conditions as a spotlight exposed to the weather or installed near a swimming pool. Junction boxes, cable joints, power supplies and cable entries must also be suitably protected.

An IP rating does not indicate impact resistance. For paths, car parks and accessible areas, the IK impact rating and strength of the materials may also need to be considered.

Lumens, power and light distribution

Lumens indicate the amount of light emitted, while watts represent electricity consumption. Illuminating a façade or car park requires a greater luminous output than marking a pathway or highlighting a plant.

The beam angle also affects the result. A narrow beam concentrates light on a tree, column or architectural detail. A wide beam distributes illumination across a larger surface and is suitable for patios, walls and circulation areas.

Colour temperature for gardens and façades

Warm white creates a comfortable atmosphere on terraces, in gardens, porches and relaxation areas. It also complements vegetation, wood, stone and traditional façades.

Neutral white provides a more natural and functional appearance for entrances, paths, modern façades and frequently used areas. Cool white creates a greater impression of brightness but should be used carefully to avoid an excessively harsh environment.

Outdoor lighting with motion sensors

Luminaires with a motion sensor can switch on when movement is detected and are practical for entrances, driveways, garages, paths and circulation areas. They also prevent the lighting from remaining switched on unnecessarily.

Before installation, check the detection range, detection angle, switching duration and whether the sensitivity or ambient-light threshold can be adjusted.

Solar garden lighting

Solar lighting combines a panel, battery and LED source to store energy during the day and use it at night. It is suitable for areas where electrical wiring is difficult to install, provided that the solar panel receives sufficient direct sunlight.

Operating time depends on battery capacity, panel power, operating mode and weather conditions. The panel should be installed away from permanent shade and kept clean to maintain its performance.

Safe outdoor electrical installation

Outdoor connections must use components suitable for moisture and weather exposure. Junction boxes, cables, connectors and power supplies should be correctly protected and sized for the installation load.

Work connected to the electrical mains should be completed or inspected by a qualified electrician, particularly near swimming pools, fountains, damp areas and buried installations.

Explore our selection of outdoor and garden LED lighting, wall lights, floodlights, bollards, lamp posts and solar luminaires and create efficient, safe outdoor spaces that can be enjoyed after dark.
