LED strip connectors and cables

Before choosing a connector, check the strip width and number of contacts. Two strips operating at the same voltage may require different connectors depending on the circuit width and number of lighting channels.

Aluminium profiles for LED strips improve the finish of the installation and help dissipate heat during operation. They can be surface mounted, recessed or installed in corners, under cabinets, in ceilings, display cases, stairs and other structures.

The diffuser protects the strip and softens the light. Depending on its transparency and the LED density, it can reduce the visibility of individual light points and create a more uniform illuminated line. Profiles can be completed with end caps, brackets, clips and other mounting accessories.

Power supplies for LED strips

Low-voltage strips require an LED power supply that matches their operating voltage. Calculate the required power by multiplying the consumption per metre by the total installed length and include additional capacity so the power supply does not continuously operate at its maximum output.

Strips with different voltages must not be connected to the same output. Correct polarity and an appropriate cable cross-section are also important, particularly in long or high-power installations.

Controllers, dimmers and sensors

Controllers can adjust brightness, change colour temperature or select colours and lighting effects. Each strip system requires the correct device: a dimmer for single-colour strips, a CCT controller for adjustable white or an RGB or RGBW controller for multicolour strips.

Remote controls, wall controls, motion sensors, door sensors and smart systems can also be added. The controller must support the installation voltage, number of channels and total connected power.

How to choose compatible accessories

Before ordering, check the strip voltage, circuit width, number of contacts, power consumption per metre and IP protection rating. In damp or outdoor installations, all connections and cut points must be correctly protected and sealed.
